This spring has delivered an impressive amount of rainfall, which has greatly influenced our hay operations and cattle management. As of June 24th, northeast Arkansas recorded a total of 38.10 inches of rain. Given that our average for this time of year is 25.09 inches, it's clear that it has been quite WET around here.

We have just completed our first round of hay, making significant progress toward our overall goal for the year, and we are truly grateful for that.

Aside from our concerns about excessive rainfall potentially affecting the nutritional content of this year's hay, and the challenge of dodging rain while cutting hay, we have few complaints about the weather! The grass and cattle are thriving, and our bird dogs don’t mind the rain at all! We give God all thanks for it. We would definitely choose this over a drought any day.
